Description

Zumbador Anejo Tequila brings a graceful Highland style to a rich, oak-kissed profile. Made from Tequilana Weber Azul agave grown in Jesus María, Altos de Jalisco, it reflects both traditional craft and a clean sense of place. The agave reaches six years of age before harvest, which helps build natural sweetness and depth.

The production approach adds even more character. Zumbador cooks the agave in masonry ovens, then mills it by tahona. Fermentation takes place in wood and stainless steel, while distillation uses copper and stainless equipment. As a result, the tequila keeps a clear agave core, even as barrel aging adds warmth and roundness.

On the nose, Zumbador Anejo shows honey, butter, roasted agave, and soft oak. Then, a light caramel note comes forward. The aroma feels inviting and balanced, rather than heavy or over-oaked.

The palate follows with cooked agave, gentle whiskey-barrel spice, vanilla, caramel, and a touch of toasted wood. Meanwhile, the 12 months in ex-whiskey barrels bring depth without covering the tequila’s natural brightness. The texture feels smooth and easy to sip, with enough structure to keep it lively.
